DO NOT touch these cars!!!
They are cyprus imports and DO NOT have an EU warranty and are NOT UK cars. There is no alarm or decent undercoating etc. I believe the dealers will be really awkward as well and won't fit a PPP if you later want one..
I have heard of people getting new WRX's for around £19k from dealers if you shop around a good bit.
Just think by the time you buy a crappy third party warranty and decent alarm you will be pushing over £18k anyway.... I looked into this and opted for a 6 months ex demo (6 months old, 8k miles, MY02) for £18k.
Ultimately it's up to you but I am sure others will tell you the same thing.
Cheers

PS sorry if I have urinated on your parade

i agree with scooby jim, went to trade sales the other day and the salesman told me these cars were from cyprus and have no warranty or alarm, once i went back to my dealer i managed to get a good deal and peace of mind if anything went wrong, so i would say try your dealer for a new or nearly new car.
dont touch motorpoint. try an import specialist, www.litchfieldimports.co.uk, or www.empirorimports.co.uk. you'll find from these guys, good service and advice, will get a pan european warranty 3 years, full UK spec car for around 16.5-17.5k.
