Talking When's cambelt due...?

I've recentley found out my Scoob is a MY00... I thought it was a 99 because it was registered very late 99... but this is not the case so I understand now...
So what mileage is the cambelt due for renewal???
Is it 45K or 60K... or should I just get it done for peice of mind... cause it's on 42K now...?

Check on your chassis number (rear bulkhead drivers side), if it has an X in it then its due every 3 years, if it has a Y in it then its due every 4 years.

As it was registered late 99 cambelt change due at 3 years = late 02 or 4 years = late 03.
regardless of mileage as it's whichever comes first.
Best get it done asap IMO

Slammed.

Usual annual service bar the cambelt so its oil/filter plus all the other fluids. My 45k service cost £450ish.

X.

PS

Mine's a Jap STi so might be more expensive than UK car?

I found the £350 inc vat my dealer charged reasonable, especially seeing the £500 mark above. I did chose not to let them replace the front pads at the silly price they think it should cost in favour of an hour of my own time though.

(MY00, changed at 44k, 3 1/2 years)
