Ever feel like you car is wearing a bullseye?
Had one of those days today where it seemed like all and sundry were out to cause my baby some damage.
First I was on the motorway (M8) in the middle lane, doing around 70mph with traffic both on my nearside (going slower) and my offside (overtaking me).
As I cruised along, a slow moving (40mph?) double decker bus on the nearside swung straight in front of me as I neared him.
It was okay though cos he indicated once he was 3/4 into my lane!!!
I quickly checked my offside mirror whilst rapidly decelerating only to find I was being overtaken and had nowhere to go, so I had to brake. Hard.
I found myself right up his @rse thanks to the good old Brembos with my full beam engaged whilst screaming expletives!
I genuinely $hit myself and it took me a good few seconds to engage an appropriate gear to accelerate again. (I had been in 6th)
As I did, I overtook him and beeped the horn whilst gesticulating "what was that about?" to which he waved me off!
I left him to his dangerous driving and came off the motorway.....
As I neared home, I came onto a roundabout and as I approached the first exit, an Astra approached from my left. I proceeded round the roundabout and as I got close to the road on the left, I decided that the Astra was going a bit too fast, so I backed off.
I couldn't make the driver out as it was raining and dark so I wasn't taking any chances.
As I began to pass him, he realised that he was fast approaching a give way to traffic on right, and slammed on his brakes, skidding onto the roundabout, straight for my passenger side!!!!!!!
He just managed to stop and I did too, and what did I see as I looked across?
The ***** was on his ******* mobile phone!!!!!!
I could have rammed it down his ******* throat!!!!!
I was seriously halfway out my window telling him what I thought of his driving and phone habits!
He simply pulled off and raised both hands as if to say "what? what have I done?"
Aaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhh!
I could have screamed
Couldn't have been gladder to get home with the Scoob in 1 piece.
I guess it was just one of those days?
Rant over!

I do have a theory that on some occasions when I get in the car we become invisible to everyone

Load of my mates have bikes but have also coincidently started buying Volvos- the big 740s. I think the theory is that if we all buy one then there aren't any left for the typical Volvo drivers
Group buy on Volvos anyone?
You also get your own back as mentioned above.....

lol @ mart!
I must admit however, I too have often "fantasised" about the very same thing!
How god would it feel to smack into a careless driver just to make a point!!!

Sunday flat cap drivers & bus drivers seem to be everyones worst nightmare. I dont mind in the car on my own but when Ive got my fellas 6 year old in the car it really f**cks me off. Best one was when a bus driver neally took me out on a roundabout, he just wasnt looking but there was a police car sat on the roundabout monitoring traffic and saw the whole thing, couldnt believe it when flashing lights & sirens started & the copper pulled the bus driver over & did him for dangerous driving. Its about time they started to do something.

My car, which I've had from new four uears ago, has now been driven into three times whilst parked up!! no-one evn near the car let alone in it!!
Thankfully all have admitted liability, and the cars been fixed, but next time could be a biggy, cos the older the car gets the less it's worth hence the easier it is to write off!!
Happy Scoobying!!
