Hi All

Just a quick note to wish you a pleasant Tuesday!

The work on the new forums is coming on nicely.. shaun has been doing double shifts, and now I'm home from Monte, It's my turn (can't wait until sweden!! ).

We've managed to import all of the members and forums in to the new software (which was a living hell), and will now start work on the threads and posts.

We also have just about the entire system for running the great suggestions put forward by the members in the thread a couple of days ago.

I think the best plan would be for us to finalise the structure and how it will all work, then propose it all here prior to actually launching it??

Thanks for everyone's support, and for the (already) better feeling in here.. 2004 is going to be a great year for us all .

All the best

Simon

Im glad you are feeling 'upbeat' today.

As for me, just about to do a late shift, so not feeling to happy at all.

But on the other hand if I was about to become a millionaire due to the implementation of a Google add to my BBS, I would be 'upbeat' too.

Good to hear work is progressing. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes are in store

Now the whole google issue has quietened down, I think the format changing and positioning of the ads makes it look a lot better. Well done for taking comments on board, even if some were voiced a little strongly

Despite what I said at the time, I have actually clicked a couple of times on the ads as they were relevant

Cheers

Steve (slowly succumbing to marketing ad campaigns )

Good to hear it's progressing well. If you're need any additional testers (bear in mind I'm using a macintosh, and most people will possibly be on PC's) then I'd be happy to give the new BBS a little fly.

as for how am I? well, how would you be at -22 C Yup, I'm cold lol but having fun in the snow

Hi All

Thank you for the nice comments

Update.. We have scripts running now which importing all of the threads and posts in to the new software. It's quite exciting!!!

There is quite a lot of processing required so it looks like it's going to take around 20 - 24 hours to import all the data. Once that's done, we need to add the plus member features, etc.. so I am hoping to have a detailed structure of how it will all work for you later today / tonight.

Apologies that the site may be a little unstable, and certainly a little slow during today (and last night) while these scripts are running.

All the best

Simon
