Boycot of scoobynet

I am proposing as a protest to boycot scoobynet until the google ads are removed.
I know of another bbs that does not have any of these ads on its pages and hopefully would welcome us onto its site.

i dont know if i will boycott it but i have to agree that is fuking annoying, i will go on google if i wanna search something, cant beleive the admin have put this on, google in between replies of trying to read every thread, no thanks

Introduce an element of fun into them. Add a selection of completely random words into each post to see what Google comes up with.
Wood, cauliflour, brown sock, british empire, sausages, subteranean, lemon, teabag.
Most of all, NOBODY, EVER must click on them. That would encourage them.

It's only one ad per page no more anoying than the odd post of

if your a scoobynet plus member you can turn them off apparently.
So is this all a con to make us join?..... who cares SN obiously get some money from it so it can only be for the benifit of SN members anyway

SN is free and I'm finding it very easy to ignore the crappy adverts without trying. Anything that makes money for the powers that be is a good thing-apart from charging to use the board that is.

Now that we have enough posts on this thread to gauge the level of support your proposal has received, I will let you know the following.
When you started this thread, I specifically requested that no moderators comment on it, and that we do not move, lock, delete or otherwise interfer or influence the thread. I specifically decided not to post.
The reason for this was so that you were able to see, exactly what you've seen and cannot blame it on some kind of conspiracy theory, etc.
You are more than welcome to leave at any time. I somehow doubt you will, but you are welcome all the same. You are also welcome to stay.
