...is it just me or do others think scooby horns are pretty weak (almost tinny sounding)? i've got an STi8 and the horn sounds very similar to the toyota taxi's we get around here (which is not good).
there are a lot of bad drivers in hong kong and unfortunately they don't give a toss who they cut up so you can imagine the excessive use of car horns in rush hour traffic. i've been thinking about changing the existing horns with ones from mercedes cos those S500L and S600L sound pretty nice and loud
air horns would also be alternative just to scare the crap out of them
has anyone changed theirs?

Yes, the OE horns are carp, and yes, plenty of people have replaced them.
Care needed with air horns, as they can end up sounding a bit "Corsa" if you get the wrong ones, and that's the last thing you want.
I got a pair of Ring (made by Fiamm) diaphragm horns from Halfrauds for £25 or something, and they sound fine. More BMW or Mercedes than anything else, and less hassle to fit than compressor/separate horns too.

I actually have a safety horn which looks like a small trumpet and scares the living daylights out of people when sounded, its very similar to a claxton horn i.e sounds like a laurel and hardy car horn but much louder, debating whether to put this on the scooby?? maybe as an auxillary
