Question

Can anyone here give me a rough idea of a new STi in the UK?

(Drive-away price, that is)

Subaru list price is £24,995 on the road. However, there are rumours of some dealers offering a discount at the mo.

Have also seen Motorpoint advertising an STi for £21,495 but these will probably be either Euro or Cyprus imports IMHO.

Hope this helps.

Going nicely mate

First impressions ( compared to MY01 WRX )

Harder ride , better seats , better build quality ( wasnt expecting that ) , gearbox still a bit notchy but I love it anyway

Had a few light scratches on collection but they are to be buffed out

Done 930 miles in 17 days , first service on Weds , then fun time

Averaging just 21mpg which is a bit nasty at sub 4k revs

I have got the prodrive gear know too ( xmas pressie ) , bit of a nightmare on cold mornings though

How is yours going ? , be nice to compare opinions

heres a piccy of the beauty

Taff107 , BTW I am not claiming my price as the result of my haggling skills , Foxmod negotiated that price for his and I just went in with the same offer

Nice Piccy!

I've done 5500m in mine in 13 weeks !

I had afew scratches on mine too, they got done at the 1000 miler.

I know what you mean about the gear ****, first thing in the morning

That run home from the first service - one word WOW, instead of changing up at around 3.5K keep going - it gets better and better!!

I can get around 280m out of a tank of optimax, (not too bad - change up at 3K -it helps BIG time if you don't then 20mpg seems about right )and I treated myself to the Prodrive spring kit (got it fitted as the same time as the first service)

The Springs make a hell of a diffence you would be amazed. I've also fitted a set of scoobyworld mudflaps and a TSL Group N Back Box.

The other thing I've had done is had all the "STI" lettering taken off the outside, makes the car abit more understated.

You going to a meet this year, perhaps we will meet face to face??

All the Best

Dave

Taff, if you're a taff then try Keith Price Garages, they done me a very good deal on a new Leggy, worth me making a 2 hour drive for.

Ask for John, tell him Sammy and Shane sent ya.
