Be careful - the BNNR may be a toll road but the police still have their usual powers.
Someone previously asked if the police can stop you on a toll road - if you saw the opening of the road, the public traffic was led by police vehicles indicating that they have taken possession of the road.
WRX Wannabe:
It is usual for a newly opened road to need minor remedial or outstanding works to be carried out - I know I have opened a few. Also, it is frequent for the public to drive straight off the new road - for some reason they can not seem to stay on the asphalt - requiring fencing, drainage or safety fencing repairs.
50 mph speed limit is usual if a lane closure is implemented - have you ever stood within a yard from traffic travelling at 70+ mph?

Police have been catching people speeding on that road since it opened.
The drainage of that toll road is apauling, i have seen one car that aquaplaned straight off and crashed up the banking the first time i used it. The second time i used it they had coned off a section of the road and the only reason i could see was because of the deep pudles that had formed.
Whoever designed the drainage on that road needs to go back and sort it out, it's not safe.
