Decals- yes or no?

Hey guys,
Was wondering what your opinions were on decals on road cars?
Also, if youve had them on there for a while and want to take them off (perhaps to sell the car), would they mark?

NO
Debadge it, tint it, lower it, big wheels, add performance, improve the ICE.....
Do anything but decals. All those companies you'll be advertising usually have to pay to get seen by half a dozen viewers to Channel 4's rally coverage. I bet they won't be beating down your door offering to pay your road tax and insurance for the year. Best part of usually a grand badly spent IMHO.
Edited to say, I forgot detango !

was thinking more of smaller decals such as logos. think the fast & furious style are ott. IMO mods should be subtle and not detract from the original styling of the car- whats the point in buying something if youre just gonna completely change the way it looks?

Funnily enough I just saw a Pugeot 206 in the pub car park all stickered up as if it were a rally car....I thought "oh dear - what a muppet"
But then I realised....It WAS a rally car!!
Had the lot...brembo brakes, compomotive rims, bare interior sparco seats, harnesses, full roll cage etc..
Now I think the decals were justified in this case

decals don't make you look sad, only boring people have such blinkered opinions, also only a minority group will laugh at you and these are the same blinkered people I menteion above, of which you obviously fit into this catagory.
If it is done correctly like the cars posted above it looks stunning, my car is fully decalled up from the 2000 WRC, I have only had complements and admiring looks so far, yes it stands out but so what, who in their right mind is going to steal such an inyer face car when there is a boring one parked next to it? yes you can steal it and peel them off but they will still get noticed from the time they nick it to the time it is debadged.
Each to their own if he wants it decaled up that is his business and nobody elses, maybe people should be a bit more tolerent of oths and less opinionated.
This is my opinion and no one elses.

They look good, but, on a road car that has never rallied so much as a get together they are embarrassing imo.
Had to laugh at this which kind of sums it in a stereotypical way.

Think Trevs cost £170 from a local supplier.

I just wanted to say that its not really my thing as I use my car everyday, but I do think that it looks great on both of the cars shown.. If I had one for the weekend I'd do the same. Each to thier own, But IMHO they look fantastic.. Show's your passionate about the whole heritage of the Subaru Rally Team and its sucess. Thats what we've all bought into after all.
