STi8 - performance increase with no noise increase?
#1
Okay, I know you are all going to sneer at me for being a grade-A wuss, but the fact is that I don't like loud exhausts. What I was wondering is whether there are any performance upgrades for an STi which don't require exhaust mods?
cheers (quietly)

Seeing as you haven't already mentioned it, can we presume you have a non-PPP STi Type UK?
If this is the case, the PPP will give you a very useful performance boost with only a subtle change in noise. It's also the only upgrade path that maintains the manufacturers warranty, an important issue to consider on a new(ish) car.

M8 same hear I really don't agree with loud exhausts... firstly becouse I live on a main road so, fully understand the missery it can cause to peaple how live near busy roads. It's something alot of people don't realise, it would be missery for everyone if all cars were noisy.
Anyhow of the gripe...
the PPP exhaust is spot on, just right around town and on the M-way, bobbing out you feel a prat. And when out of the way it sounds luvly... back windows down and its ace...
