Anyone done the Gumball 3000
#3
I enquired once and seem to recall it was about £8k to enter 1 car with 2 passengers.
If they get too many entries they accept/decline people on what car they're entering, i.e how exotic it is. For instance a person has more chance of getting in if they're driving a Koenigsegg(sp?) than someone driving a standard Scooby - even if both can afford the entry fee.
I was going to try and do it in a Land Rover until i saw how much the entry fee was!

Me and a friend are hopefully doing it this year!
Just in the pipeline at the mo, unsure what car we are using yet though.
I have an STi V5 TypeR and my mate who will be doing it with me owns an Escort Cosworth.
Or maybe use something special !

Watched that on men and motors (gumball 3000) and two playboy ladies were in a standard mini zzz zzz cooper!! Nice to see a good british contingent in there aswell.
Their programme gave the impression that "Maximillion Thingummjig" who organises it had ~250k applications for 150 spaces so limits it to friends and friends of friends only...
Still, AndyH, if there's room in the boot of your scoob fella then I'll stow away - try and find those ladies in the cooper!!!
