how often should you use octane booster,and does it make a great difference to the performance of you car,plus how much does it cost.

It really depends on your vehicle. All Jap imports should be run on Optimax or SUL plus Octane booster on every tank of fuel. This is because they are designed to run on 100RON fuel and the best we have in the uk is 98RON with Optimax or 97RON with SUL.

Standard UK cars should be fine purley on SUL or Optimax.

cheers mate.im driving the forester s/tb import at the mo,since iv had him iv used optimax and the new bp ultimate but iv not used any octane booster yet, will this do any damage?

I personally do not have any experience on this vehicle to advise you on this. My feeling is if this is a Jap import then Yes probably. You should start a new thread in "General Technical", I'm sure it will be answered very quickly.
