Sills? Are you talking about the plastic sill extensions, or the bodyshell itself? If the former, yes, getting spares no problem. If the latter, oops, awkward repair job ahoy.

Unlucky mate, I know how you must be feeling. I had a guy pull into the side of my wrx when it was 3 week old.
I know a place in Rochdale that i can recommend for the repairers if your interested? Its the place that robinsons send all there cars for accident repair. And he did a first class job on mine.

AFAIK your insurer cannot insist that you uuse one of their approved repairers. You can insist on going to another company provided that you supply a couple of quotations (making sure of course that your preferred one is the cheapest!).

I went through this many moons ago when an errant Range Rover drove into the side of my 3 month old scoob on a dual carriage way...the weekend before Christmas and I wanted the repairs done by a Porsche approved bodyshop 2 minutes from my home.

The only drawback is you may not get a courtesy car...well, at least anything better than a Ford Ka

Unlucky btw

The sill inside the door is all pushed up, the wheel bearing has gone one of the suspension arms is bent and the wheel has had it. If you look on the rear qtr where the roof meets the boot you can just notice it is kincked so I think it needs a pull too.
Where is the place that Robinsons use please?

Would a better tyre choice have saved you. Those look like RE070's which are usually good in the dry but not so good in the wet stuff

Robinsons use Brookside Garage,
Bridgefield Street, off Dane Street, Rochdale, OL1 4EY.
Tel No 01706 650297.
Ask to speak to Andy Fitzpatrick.

Tell him Martin with the WR Blue STi7 recommended you to him.
He has done some exceptional work for me.
I work in the Aerospace industry and am very fussy about quality of workmanship!!!

Cheers

Thats the one MTR. Andy is very good, and he's done an excellent job on my car (cant tell its been repaired). My car was the n/s/f wing, door, and suspension. The car took longer than he thought to get ready, cos he struggled setting the steering geometry up. But a lot of garages would have said it was ok, and given me the car back, he spent an extra few hours getting it spot-on.

Their old out of hours phone number is now listed as their FAX number. It is 01706 860666.
It might be worthwhile dropping him a FAX tonight.

Edited to add this info.

Their business card classifies them as 24 Hour Accident Recovery,
(so you should be able to contact them now) and M.V.R.A Approved Repairers.

Cheers
MTR

Problem Child,
If you phone Andy NOW, on 01706 650297 he is in work. I have just come off the phone from speaking to him.

His mobile number is 07773058062, but he can't answer that at the minute as he's left it at home. DOH!

Good luck.

Cheers MTR

They use brand new Ford Ka's for courtesy cars.
But you would need to arrange the car, as and if avaialable.

I cannot complement them enough.

Cheers

I wouldn't talk about the security on your car for fairly obvious reasons, especially if its going to be in a repair shop for a while...

Hope you get it sorted and the damage isn't too painful.

Problem child,
Check your E-mail.

He is spraying a car, and so might not hear you.
Just keep trying.
He will be there for a while yet.

Cheers
MTR
