I've been considering getting my MY01 wagon PPP'd. When i mentioned this to my local dealer they said that the ppp on that model wasn't very successful and i should consider a new WRX with PPP instead.

Are there many people on here who could give my advise to the before and after, did it give a great deal of difference? or is my local dealer just trying to get me into a new one.....?

thank you in advance

AFAIK If you get an MY01 PPP'd now it should be identical to an MY03 PPP. There was an earlier kit that had a piggyback ecu but these have been replaced with the remapped one.
Get your dealer to clarify this with Prodrive.

its all down to warranty and how much you have left and do you want to keep it

I have a my02 wrx with ecu tek,TSL sports cat down pipe and tsl centre and back box, I don't think any one would argue that this is not superior to a PPP and cost the same amount of money, It just means I ve lost my warrenty

I know a few people have gone from PPP to ECU tec\decat but not may gone the other way

hate for you to add a PPP then realise you still want more power
