Alarm system fails a tip for all

After parking up at currys store got back in my car only to find the alarm would not work not knowing the keypad override number my car was towed in to the local garage the dealer was not open sunday for me to get the code.when i spoke to the dealer he said this is becoming more of a problem where high power aerials are used.my tip make sure you remember your keypad number it could save you money.

In the security forum there are discussion about the shielding that you can get to fix this problem.
There have been a few threads about this in the past few weeks... myself included (you might want to watch out at Newport Pagnell services)!

Yup common problem. Happened to me earlier in the week. Open the door with the key, put zapper right under the dash so it is reasonably well sheilded or right up to the reciever and it will usually work.
If not - yup U need to know that keypad number!
