Will more than likely be adding my name to this list within the next few days, have read the write ups on this and must admit to being pretty impressed !! just one thing that does bother me, is the few previous posts within scoobynet regarding the owners off these things passing " safety vans " and nothing being emitted from this diffuser ?? anyone got one already care to comment ??

lastly !! wonder when the final placing off the order is likely to take place ?? pre xmas ??

cheers,
john...

I have passed your questions re payment and shipping to our supplier, and will post the answers back. I would imagine that the supplier will take the orders directly and ship to your own addresses. The purchase will happen when we've got 10 people together, but no sooner than Monday the 15th to give people a fair chance to spot this group buy... I personally hate it when I miss out on them!

I may arrange a testing session where we borrow / hire a laser gun for the day and sort out any installation issues etc. I'll look into this after the purchase. I'd imagine in a lot of cases, those people who haved passed 'safety units' without the jammer going off, didn't actually have a live laser pointed at them.

just like to say that i was involved in the last group buy.

the price you are getting is a fair one and the device has saved my *** in a BIG way already (motorway into 40mph limit - est my speed 70ish) in fact about 2 weeks after fittment.

good kit.

Question

Been seriously thinking about a detector for a while and would be interested in the group buy on a diffuser but I'd like more info..

, maybe not the right forum but assuming people are willing to committ to buying these they probably know more than me so any answers to my questions would be really appreciated

Can someone tell me whether it's also worth getting a radar and laser detector?
I was thinkin about bel 550. I don't see much point in GPS systems cause I keep an eye out for Gatsos not sure what the benefits of GPS are unless you not too observant when driving. Am I missing something?

More questions...

Are radar guns still used?

Read stuff on legality of diffuser but I am not really any the wiser. Anybody any ideas on the likelihood of getting into trouble for using a diffuser (perverting the course of justice and all that...)?

Thanks in advance.

The best thing about GPS systems is that they also cover things like SPECS that radar detectors will never be able to. Personally I don't find spotting these too much of a problem, so I'll probably just run with the jammer - I sold my Bel 990 (550 predecessor) because it gave too many false alarms. There is a kit to connect the LRC100 up to a Road Angel GPS by the way, which I'm also trying to get a group buy price on in case anyone wants it.

Not as far as I know.

It is still very much a grey area. Anecdotal reports are only as bad as the police forcing you to remove it on the roadside. One guy was famously prosecuted in Wales, but he was apparently baiting them - screaming back and forth past mobile camera units!

I might be interested in a kit to connect it to a road angel.

J,

I've got a contact who might be able to help on a group buy for Road Angels. Drop us an e-mail if need be.

BTW - Where are you - can't be too far from me.

I want to put my name down if you can tell me /give me an idea on ......

1) Cost of fitting an 03 wrx?
2) looks like there is only one sensor !!! ?

I have been looking at other group buys and there is FOUR sensors two for the front and two for the back .....all for the same price

K300's our supplier Brian

We might be able to get Road Angels too at a similar discount - I've asked him for a price. We'll still be getting our LRC100's at £235 no matter what

Does anyone know what the adapter kit for the road angel does ?
I have a road angel so will want the adapter kit, but would like to know what I'm paying for first (for a change :-).

( I've searched the web and found nothing so far )

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it, the adapter kit simply lets the Road Angel control the jammer instead of having an extra unit in the cabin

Right, I'm well up for 2 of these. BUT ! I would prefer to only have them if they work with the Garage doors.

Moving to a new house in the next week, and I want to have electric garage doors - so is there a link to the company that sells these to see if they know any links/info on garage doors that will work with these ??

Cheers

G.
