theboyg, not sure about garage door openers but I might be interested myself. Try emailing K300 (he's posted to this thread), and post the results on here

Do they in fact require critical set up, and final testing to be off any good ?? as unoffical testing wont be an option up here in scotland !! and living a million miles away from some off these organised testing days !! how do you know that it is working ??

according to the speedtraps uk test on the lrc100 the exact mounting off the front sensor was not as critical as some off the other laser diffusers on the market, am I right ?? if the sensor was mounted directly under the leading edge off the front number plate, surely this would be close enough to there targetted area, ie. nearly always the number plates ?? also just one other thing ??!! do these things have a better laser receiver than most combined radar/ laser units ??

thats it !! as mentioned earlier will more than likely be ading my name to this ever growing list off group buy members, just looking for a bit more reasurance first !!!

cheers,
john

Ok guys heres the deal , I have spoke to Stuart (k300) to check the availability and progress of the group buy. He has told me that now the interest has reached the 10 level he was looking at,the group buy can go ahead.

Call Stuart on MONDAY on this number 0161 355 1275 and place your order with him. Once he has 10 confirmed orders he will ship the units ( which he has in stock )

I have heard about some new device being used on the M6 someting about timing between set points. I heard it was turned on last week with the new information signs?
Is this device good enough to 'protect' against this timing mechanism.

**** UPDATE ****

Looks like people are getting impatient Understandable considering the fascist police state we live in.

The original deadline was the end of December, which I brought forward to the 19th because we were due to reach 10 a lot sooner than hoped. In order to ensure everyone gets theirs in time for Christmas, it's probably worth bringing it forward again. In the interests of fairness, I've decided the group buy will run to the END OF TOMORROW so that everyone has fair warning and noone misses out.

Can everyone who wants one please phone K300 no later than midday Wednesday on 0870 757 5557. They will the be dispatched in good time for the festive period.

@jlanng

sorry m8 for raining on the parade. i forgot about the 31 December deadline. i apologise for being selfish to other members of scoobynet who maybe wanted to wait till after chrimbo.

you know how it is, new toy and i want to play with it now syndrome. consider the wrists slapped.

in my defense i just wanted to make sure we got them at the price offered. i have seen group buys fall by the wayside as one, then others pull out at the last minute.

good to know however that true to their word scoobynet members have shown their paranoia again by participating in the group buy

cheers

now to cut that little whole in the third letter of my number plate, oddly enough just the right size for the lrc100. funny that .

Talking to a guy today who told me that the jammer can produce 1 of 3 error codes on the mobile laser unit.

1 - user movement - officer has moved laser by more than 1 degree.
2 - to much sunshine i.e to reflecty (is there such a word)
3 - atmospheric conditions (must be fog, etc)

cheers

Never got round to fitting the one I got on the first group buy, but as I passed a craftily hidden police car today decided to get a rear one too - anyone fitted a rear one to a new age WRX?

@elgordano

no probs m8. mobile cameras in northern ireland are starting to take off especially around chrimbo. i plan to cut a small space out of the black lettering in my front number plate and fit the lrc100 in there. having just read the instructions that came with the road angel adapter it seem to be a helluva lot less hassle if you have a road angel.

the adapter kit is just a small black box with a switch and two cables coming from it. one of the cables is about 15cm long and has a small jack plug at the end of it while the other is a 2 core lead. the red lead on the lrc100 gets connected to the white tracer side of the 2 core while the white lead from the lrc100 gets attached to the black side of the 2 core. the black lead from the lrc100 goes to earth. they even supply 2 bullet connectors to hook up the wires.

piece of pi$$ really. hard part is going to be mounting the lrc100 into the number plate.

when the lrc100 detects a mobile laser unit it lights up the road angel red with "mobile" on the road angel screen. you then have 7 seconds to attain the correct speed

cheers
