Hi all,

Ive got a My96 Wrx V-Limited, However there are no plaques anywhere, All there is are the embroidered badges on the seats - dated however 95 championship.

Ive seen a couple of pics of other V-limited's with the same badges ,bodywork etc is there any other way to find out:-

1. Is it defo a V-limited (model nos,chassis,vin nos etc)

2. How on earth would i find the official limited edition run number.

As far as I know, if you have a roof vent it's a V-ltd.

no roof vent m8,most of the ones my year and earlier that ive seen didnt have either but cheeers for replying

Should be Sonic Blue.

Think this was only Ltd colour.

 

We looked at one of these before we bought our UK98 turbo. The car was a deep blue mica colour and we were told was simply a WRX (260bhp?) with some fancy cosmetic changes to commemorate a rally victory, like embroidered seats and maybe a plaque (although we couldn't see on). Definitely didn't have a roof vent or red manifold, etc. We couldn't find out any info on the web on it so we didn't buy it in the end, which was a shame as it was in A1 condition for a very good price

i remember someone posting a similar thread some time back, try having a look.

from what i remember, they had roof vents, embroided seats, (i.e the badge), but i also remember seeing a badge or something saying limited edition at the bottom of the centre console, (i was looking for one as well, but had the same concerns as u so i didn't buy one).

this was on a 98 plate, dont no the MY that would be, sorry mate

 

no such thing as a "V-Limited".

They are all called "Limited".

common misconception.

 

mines a wrx 96 v-limited 321/1000 plaque was on boot lid by the 95manufacturers badge but i moved it inside si nobody knicks it;]..not sure how u would find out your number..presumably from subaru with vin/chassis no?...is yours wrc/monticarlo blue?

also m8 did u get that scooby ecu upgrade sorted?

no its not, its a wrx 96 limited.

 

And it can only be Sonic Blue.

Only other cars 22b and P1.

As John says "Limited" No "v".

 

RA's & 555 Editions had the roof vents

V-Limited (Limited) had the plaques (boot & console although early ones only had the boot)

V-Limited (Limited) RA's had the vents and plaque(s)

And their ONLY! Sonic Blue.

Forget about plaques and badges, Interiors.

All Jap cars could be ordered with many different specs.

Only Ltds. had The Blue paint.

All other colours may be Special Editions.

But not Ltds.

Spec- gold sti 5 spoke alloys
abs
green tinted glass
fia approved emblem on boot lid(1995 world rally champions)the same stiched on seats.
Colours- sports blue(not sonic blue)feather white or black mica.

Hmmm that opened a can of worms didnt it!! Well i got sold mine as a V Limited - its not sonic Blue but i think a 555 blue ie darkish blue. so god only knows?? one things for sure its a scooby so im still chuffed BUT still none the wiser .

Mr smash, yes m8 i did get the scooby ecu done (fitted it back in on saturday morning)- transformed the car. power delivery is very smooth, not hit 3400ish rpm and bang off you go, also feels a lot more torquier, look forward to getting yours its well worth it. Are you going to the saltash cruise on the 20th Dec m8 if so we'll have to compare our cars as in ldt/v.ltd etc???

Did you ava look on the Kernow-Kruz.co.uk (Forum), if so join/log in and theres a pic of my car in the gallery and details of peeps coming to the cruise (def 2 scoobs, maybe 4+ a whole host of other cars-should be a good night)

But....STI 5 Type R Ltd Sonic blue/Roof vent/standard interior/No plaque./Streetcage/Mcrae Graphics.
