Could anybody point me in the direction of pictures of a deep blue mica turbo? The best I've managed so far is the tiny picture on the Subaru U.K site. Mine's arriving from Holland in about six weeks and I've still not seen one in that colour yet.
Thanks

Many thanks Doc and Kev. I have a feeling the next 6 weeks are going to drag horribly!
I think the colours brilliant. Like the gold wheels too, but that's another debate I know.

I dont want to put you off DBM but talk some of the owners who have this colour and they will tell you that it marks and scratches very easily. I think the undercoat is white which shows up very easily.

Paint work is not a scooby strong point but DBM seems particularly bad. Mine is red and doesnt seem to bad after 18 months. I am going off previous threads about DBM and what owners have told me.

Nice colour though .

Enjoy your scooby

What Chris says about DBM is true. Wash it with care - no, and I mean no car washes. Give it at least two coats of a good wax. Use a quality chamois leather to dry it down after washing.

My DBM can be found on

had my dbm turbo for 4 weeks now, and the only way not to scratch it is to drive it naked!!! already it has loads of scores from jacket toggles, zips, etc, and dont even think about washing it in a jet wash! i have a large score accross the bonnet where a stone must have lodged itself in the brush

lovely colour,but crap paint
ps my first scratch was on the ferry back from holland,so park yours with as much room as possible on one side to avoid folk with their duty free bags scratching the damn thing!!

anyway , good luck and enjoy!!

My DBM Scooby (MY00) is already starting to show some swirl marks. I've found that the Colour Magic type cleaners help a little, but I think this would be a good time to call the Wax Wizard. I believe he does a specialist Subaru wax and an anti-swirl polish.

I've heard good things about both, so I reckon I will be investing in both shortly..

Enjoy you're new car when it arrives - it'll take weeks to wipe the smile of your face

It can't be as bad as the paint on a corsa sri I had many years ago surely?
I'm fairly sure that there will be other compensations..

My 17 month old DBM used to scratch easily. Now I use Wax Wizard products & the problems have just about disappeared. I still get stone chips though.....

I have awful visions of DBM Scoobie drivers blasting round the UK totally naked. "Well officer, you see its because of the colour of my car". "Have you been drinking sir, or reading Scoobynet?"

I agree with everyone regarding mica blue paintwork. Colour excellent, but all scratches and swirls show up like crazy.
Mines now colour coded and its looks so much better than having black bits, also coded the little brown/orange things below the front indicators which is nice!
Will have to invest in the wax wizard me thinks.
