Just found this website on google. Dooch Home Page They do a car reg check by text message to see if it's been nicked etc... Has anyone used it before?

ya, ive been using them for yonks, done it for my latest purchase, good for a quick check when yer lookin at motors out n about... think they blag like a quid fifty of yer phone for the text message check.

Well, just done it on my car which I know isn't nicked and it came back clear, that it wasn't on the database. Guess I need to find one that we know is nicked in order to test the theory? Anyone want to give that a go?

When i was car hunting I had one a few months ago that came back as "this index is listed as bad.." blah blah so i guess it works ok 4 me..

Try SFM 406 K or C865 AWR. Both my cars nicked.
