Me again,

Is it best to go for a MY97/98 with high mileage, ie 115,000 but with full history etc.

Or a MY94/95 with low mileage with full history etc???

Dunno which way is best, had a 96 calibra with high mileage, got problems, so got a low mileage bmw, problems, carnt seem to win!!!

Ive seen newer models for sale at about £7k but high mileage, they look good enough, so not sure what to go for.

Also considering a sport, but thats a diff post!!

interior of newer cars is FAR better than older ones (IMO). If' I'd known 4 years ago what I know now I'd never have bought a 96 as my first Scoob, I'd have got a newer one. (I've got a bugeye now, so what do I know?? )

It's your choice, you've got both caveats of "its got 100,000,000 miles on it" or "it's so oooold!" when you come to sell them on.

At the end of the day it's YOUR money, buy what you think is the best car!

PS buy Dosenoffners (sp) car, I know the previous owner, and it's a beaut!

Youve obviously got to check out the circumstances when you buy it. It may have 115000, but are they sensible miles? Were they driven buy granda on the motorway at 60mph, or were they driven by the company representive at 160mph??

Personaly, high mileage cars have never bothered me, but ive allways scrutinised the service history, any slight doubt, say no!
