being serious, could you turbo the car.
my thinking, get a MY99/00 sport, put a turbo on it, then you got a MY99 turbo for the same money as a MY96/97 car!! he he

For the price it would cost to do a proper turbo conversion and upgrade other things such as brakes etc. to cope it is not worth it, from what i can gather you won't be getting much change from a few grand 
You won't even save on insurance so you may as well buy a turbo. You could try supercharging but the price of one of these conversions is around £4000, once again bloody expensive!
