hi there.
gonna be looking and hopefully buying a wrx today and just wanted to know if scoobys have any common faults that are a pain that i should look out for.
i know about repaired damage,smokey whinning turbos etc.

Clutch judder from cold (need new flywheel/clutch) and failing synchromesh (crunching going into gear - initially only at high revs, getting worse over time)

Choose carefully and you'll be hooked for ever.....

You've already made your biggest error in your opening line:
"looking for and hoping to buy TODAY"
we all do it - but if it's possible to take time and not fall for the 1st scooby you test (precisely what I did) you'll probably get a better deal/motor for your $$!

(never did suss that 'quotey" thing!)
