Guys,

I have just put new Pagid Blue pads (RS4-2)on an STi8 and done a test drive. I get nasty nocking coming from the left wheel which is exaggerated when turning left and when off the throttle.

Everything looks ok, pads are installed ok and wheel is on securely.

Does anyone have a clue???

Are you sure you have the pins through the holes on the Pads correctly,

Put your old pads back in and retry, does the noise persist, check wear on the Pagid's may show miss aligment might need chanfuering off due to lip on Disc.

Hope this helps

Tony

Did you refit the original anti rattle/squeal shims with the new pads?

Steve
Same thing happened to me only a dealer didnt do the wheel nuts up properly. I would suggest that you check very garefully the lugs that the nuts are on to ensure that they have not been stripped due to driving with loose wheel nuts, one of mine was totally knackered and that was driving 200 yards and back to the garage
glad you sorted it before the wheel went walkabout
cheers

Wheels nuts/lugs are fine thanks but teh Pagid Blues are brilliant, far better than the standard STi pads

How much you pay for these Pagids mate??

Like you, I find the Std Brembo pads to be a bit poo really!!!

Initial bite is ok, but for after that, it doesn't inspire confidence at all!!

I paid £170 delivered from Scoobyworld. Only £60 more than the dealer supplied standard set so I think good value.

They're not the absolute best but for fast road use and the occassional track session they really are the best for the money...soem might suggest Ferodo but haven't tried them yet.
