MY00 Turbo Dark Mica Blue

Well I have just been in for my 30k service, car has done 24K miles and a Cam belt change as it says in the manual it needs to be changed 45k or 3 years.

I have noticed that before i could hear a whine when the turbo spun up and it didnt do a lot until about 2250 revs.

But now i dont really hear the whine and it seems more torquey
more responsive... is this my imagination...

00my turbo's only have belt changed at 60k or 4 yrs, not 45k. Think your garage has done more than they should of. I appreciate your service book may say 45k, but intervals were changed and all the dealers informed some time ago.

Well thats the thing. I went to Subaru in Isleworth and they told me it was 45k for mine!

But I didnt get it done there

the change is dependant on chassis number, my MY00 chassis no. has a 'Y' in it, which apparently means a 60k change, those with 'X' are 45k.

I probably have that the wrong way around, but try a quick search to check

I havent got mine on me at the mo. But it is March 2000 jobbie.
probably means its an 45k. Anyway. Got to recover from the
wallet bashing now
