Hi All,

I am new to this post, so appologise if this has been discussed before.

I have a bad noise at cold start up. Metalic "Graunching" noise with ticking afterwards. Ticking is comming from around Turbo area in engine bay. Also Rubbery/Oily smell from exhaust.

I have taken this to Subaru shop three times, they cannot fault.

Any help would be appreciated.

firstly, welcome to the board.

Secondly, take note of the various different forums you'll want to use the best one for the question you are asking. This is better suited to the technical forum.

Thirdly, check all the zorst heatshields are tight and not loose. the slightly iratic (spelling!!!) idling when first starting up might cause a loose heat shield to clang against the zorst coursing the noise you are talking about.
