If I am looking around scrapyard for scooby STI motors,
How do you know what spec STI it is
Am interested in the earlier pre-bug eyed spec versions.
Cheers

finding quite a few in local scrappies, in various states of breaking. Difficulty is working out what they are once the bumpers and badges are not on them

as far as i know m8, on a v5 the coil pack is bang in centre,
on a v4 its slightly to the side. Dont quote me on it tho!

Not saying any of the scoobies are chocker full in the yards,
always seem to be one or two when ever i look around them every coupla months.
Be nice to know what they are , scrappies just say "scooby" and fleece you. might as well get best spec as poss for the dosh
Then again where else can you go where someone will give you nothing for taking something off your hands then charge extortionatly if wanted a bit of it back

Your probably gonna be seeing the UK scoobs in the scrap yards, not the Jap ones.
Jap scoobs are usually harvested by enthusiasts before the scrappers get a chance to get hold of them.
You could virtually sell a whole V5/6 STI on here bit by bit leaving you with just the number plates sat on the drive...heh
