I am aware of what bits are required to do the facelift, however my point was, wouldnt it be good to utilise the original bonnet and headlights (the major cost)?

All we need someone to make is a late model scoop to fit the old bonnet, late model vents (Ill check MRT) An a MY99 style front bumper to fit the old car.

As I said, Revolution are close with a cracking Grille and a nice bumper. Anyone agree this is what we want (Supply and Demand??)

Does anyone know of any company who makes late model bits to fit the early pre-facelift cars?

We've seen that Revolution do a nice MY99 Grille which fits the early cars and a front bumper which is very similar, but what about 22b style vents or the mesh ones. Also has anyone succesfully fitted a MY98 onwards scoop to an early bonnet.

This would aleviate the need to change the bonnet and the headlights, whats anyone think, is there a market, I reckon so!

Cheers all

Richie

A few people have done this, & I looked into doing it on my old 95MY (but I just bought a newer car instead !

To achieve a 97-98MY look, you need new bonnet (scoop/vents) / new lights & new front grill (bumper is same)
The intercooler was moved slightly on the post 97 cars, so the pre 97 intercooler doesn't match up to the post 97 scoop, but apparantly its good enough.
99/00MY cars had new lights/front grill/front bumper etc.
As for fitting a post 97MY scoop to a pre 97MY bonnet - the holes are different size/shape so that could cause a problem - bear in mind though if you do it, the post 97MY lights & front grill wont fit - you will have to keep the older bits on there.

Can you send me the pic too.

I have all the bits to do this to mine but have not bothered yet.

May never bother and sell bits so if you want let me know.

Know a bloke who can find you bits if necessary
if you want his number then email me.
