Just had a thought today and wondered how hard would it be to convert an STI8 from single turbo to twin turbo? Also, what would be involved in converting?

I had this thought because I was thinking about the Skylines being twin turbo'd and what effect a twin turbo on an STI would have in terms of performance.

LOL. How about thinking of Supra's converting from twin turbos to singles?

It's already done in the Legacy, so assuming you can find some novel way of squeezing the hardware in the engine bay then I expect it can be done on an Impreza as well.

Do you mean twin sequential turbos (very difficult to get the control system and pipeing working but less lag), or two per bank (simpler if you can weld up some pipes and find a place to mount them but possibly a bit pointless, turbos can be smaller but theirs less gas in each to accelerate them too)

In Supra's people often swap the twin sequential turbos for one big turbo to get more power while sacrificing response.
