I'm curious - what's the most miles anyone here has put on their Scooby without needing any serious engine work? Some say you can get 250,000 out of an engine, some reckon serious work is needed before 100,000. Would be interesting to get some real figures. I guess we should exclude those with serious engine mods, though!

My April '94 Turbo's done at least 125,000 miles, and I understand's still on the original Engine, Gearbox and Clutch. I sold it when 2 years old, at 50K miles, but it's still serviced at the supplying dealer in North Yorks. Not bad for a 91/2 year old car, that's still driven with gusto, as I found out when I came across it on the road recently.

I met one guy who had a 3 year old Impreza Turbo with 210,000 miles on it! He reckoned it was fine, but on his 2nd Clutch.

My MY01 registered in March 2001 has done 66,000 on one clutch... that was my bad driving that burn that away.

Apart from that one rear damper was replaced under warrenty, the rest has all just been due to normal wear.
