Unhappy

I have just noticed a screw in one of my rear tyres.
It is very close to the edge of the tread so i dont think it can be repaired
It has got 5mm of tread. All my tyres have about the same tread as i bought all 4 at the same time. They are toyos.

Do you think i could get away with just replacing the one tyre.

Any ideas on where to get a replacement.
I have checked out mytyres- £74 delivered to my house(no fitting}.
And blackcircles- £113 fitted

It seems so pointless having to throw money on something that i already had

And yes, the tyre was loosing pressure.

Greg

Obviously I've not seen the position of the screw, but have you taken it to somewhere like National Tyres? They do a patch that actually fills the hole, as well as covering it. It worked when I had a similar problem a few years back, and saved the tyre. It meets BSI regs too.

Cheers

I popped down to my local tyre sales.
The screw is only about 1cm from the tyre wall and they said it could not be repaired.
A bit futher in would have been fine

Talking

Why not get a part worn tyre put on, if you ring around you should be able to get the same tread/make of tyre and it wont cost much.
