Unhappy

After driving MY00 Scoob for a while there appears to be a whining noise coming from the rear, when i apply the handbrake slightly it stops, i am guessing that it is something to do with the rear brakes but not sure what???

any ideas????

Same here. MY97, rear brakes squeeking constantly when driving. Took both rear drums off, cleaned all components up, changed pads and hay presto! (fixed)

Wink

This happened to me, thought it was the brakes UNTIL my offside rear wheel span off!! The rear brake cable gets caught in the drums and slices through the tubular axle!!!

seriously thou my old scoob had started squeaking when reversing from the rear, got RCM to clean rear brakes when i was in for service & all good. They did ask if i left hand brake on when i started pulling off as there was a lot of brake dust round the handbrake bit of the discs etc so i presume mine had stuck as well as i neither used handbrake when pulling off or doing turns
