Have a look at this...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...category=40198

Seem prety kewl to mo. Was wondering tho; he says no transponder. If I have the sigma cat 1 alarm/imobiliser, do I still need to have a key with a transponder like the original scooby key or does my alarm bliper do all that?

Otherise I cant see how this would work. I know my old spord relies on the chip build into the key, so what I am saying is does my turbo also need chip in the key or just the oblong alarm bliper?

Wink

You can get a "Key Solution" from your local dealer about £40 and removes the need for a seperate transponder Take all keys/Transponder to dealer as they need to be ALL reprogrammed in

Eh? I dont understand

Does this mean I dont use the transponder anymore, thus reducing my cars security?

Exclamation

The "Newage" standard key has 2 buttons that don't work(for SUBARU Alarm there is Printed Circuit Board inside), But you, press the fob button(Transponder) on to SIG work alarm

"key solution" is a transponder and one half of Key cover and battery. It replaces the old PCB inside your old key, the new half cover is fitted with only one button which now works your SIG alarm, once programmed in

Tony

Ps maybe different on Newage and Classic

my spelling in the original post is really bad! I have an MY99 RB5, so it has a key, and a blue subaru fob with 1 button. This opend the doors and turns off the alarm & imobilizer.

The I put the key in, does the std subaru imobilizer still get used?

If not then no problem.

This is what he said when I asked:

you will get uncut key blank, which has to be cut to fit your car. there is no transponder,so you will be able to open doors only with this key or you can place a transponder inside switchblade(there is room). thanks

nuclear_pond - another way around it is to take the chip out of your key and mount it in the car permanently.
