Question

MY99 Turbo.

Coming up for 60k service and dealer telling me that Cambelt needs changing. Service booklet (which also covers Justy and Forrester) suggests that this should have been done at 45k. Dealer says that on mine, the cambelt is now done at 60, not 45.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I started a thread in Drivetrain regarding this. Don't know how to do a link but you can do a search for "P1 cam belt".

Thanks, Sillysi.

Didn't realize that you'd gone over this ground recently. Looks like the dealership are probably right. I didn't really want to get it changed now, if it had already been done at 45.

Not sure how long I'm going to be able to run this thing...60k service including cambelt + two front discs and pads....ouch.
