more good news mate
update
OK lads, I've had a reply from Steve.
He has agreed that the group buy will go ahead now, so we can expect him to present the cheques as of tomorrow.
Expect installations to commence W/c 14 Dec.
Steve will be contacting each of us soon to arrange installation.
I'm all done here unless someone whats to join the group buy just now
It's over to Steve from here, you can contact him on 07836 635001 or e-mail him on simpson.msport@virgin.net.
Remember that the group prices were originally for 15 customers; there are 9 customers at the moment,
so Steve is doing us a barnstormer of a deal.
Please say thanks to him when you go to get your GEMS fitted and mapped!!!!
Cheers

Hi All
Put your name down on this thread to show interest in taking part in a group buy for the GEMS ECU.
I've made enquiries and am awaiting on Group buy prices from suppliers.
Some of the best features about the GEMS is it's antilag feature and the provision to run launch control and an active diff (if you have the adjustable centre diff like 22B or Type R coupe).
It also uses the original wiring loom.
Available for the following MY Impreza's
Gems ECU MY93-96
Gems ECU MY97-98
Gems ECU MY99-00
Gems ECU MY01>
Will leave the thread running for a week to guage interest, then quote prices for group buy if it's a goer
Cheers

Windows,
Possibly interested (depending on cost, Christmas, upcoming 90K service, etc.!).
Would this be to just supply, or supply & fit? IIRC, the main guy for fitting/tuning these is somewhere up north - somebody'll no doubt find a link to more info.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Im working on all possible avenues at present i.e, supplied only, supplied and mapping included etc
Steve Simpson and Bob Rawle can map the GEMS ECU as far as I know.
I have sent e-mail to both asking for group buy prices along with a couple of other suppliers.
There may be the option to just buy the ECU on its own without the mapping including in the price but I think a dongle is needed to do the mapping which cost's around £200.

Starting a list to keep an easier count
Windows
chrisgarner
ademid
Ken Ross
Judge
Puff The Magic Wagon!
Adam555
spider
GariYaRally
SCOOBY R
Keigo
drb5
jlanng
WUZ x 2
I have some prices in from one supplier, which offer roughly a 10% discount to 6 confirmed purchases (mapping included, with a bigger discount to more than 6 confirmed purchases) but I will wait till I have heard back from all the suppliers before posting a group buy price to save any confusion
