Kershaws Rolling Road Day @ York
#1
Howdy Guys had a good run @ kershaws rolling road day on saturday 1st November. My MY95 Uk car was on form producing some 357bhp on there dynos how accurate that is i am not quit sure as i was not expecting as much bhp as i got. The mods done to my car are as follows full de-cat exhaust system,Hks Cold air induction,Hks FCD,Hks AFR,Hks electronic Boost Controller,Blitz Dual Drive Super Sound Dump Valve,Electronic pressure switch controlled intercooler water spray system. My Cars Hks AFR was Turned fully up giving me as much fuel as possible on my standars injectors and my boost pressure was set at 16psi the maximum i dare run on a standars top mounted intercooler. So to say the very least i was over the moon with my result but i would say a lower 300bhp would be a more realistic figure. Would like too here from any of the others and have some feed back on what they thought of there dyno results and if you thought they were up or down innaccurate or accurate. See you later Richie.

Richie,
I think that anyone that ran on the Kershaws Rollers yesterday has to be a little bit sceptical of the results that they achieved(Myself included).
My own opinion is that the rollers were giving results that were approximately 30-35 bhp 'over the top'.
I would love to be able to claim to have an MY01 with 337bhp, but I have to be realistic. Torque figures looked about right though.
Still enjoyed the day and gives me something to show the TTS crew at our next meet.
Cheers
Martin

I once took my 309gti rally car to be set up at Kershaws, it produced around 130bhp. I then a little while later went with the same car to a power run morning with the peugoet club at Kershaws, and it was producing around 145bhp!!
Personally I'd agree with whats said before, figures are slightly exagerated for rolling road days, unless your there on your own and paying for a service.
Pity really, as I'm sure everyone would prefer to know the true figures their car is producing.
Jon.

I got to Kershaws at 11.45 everybody had left apart from black 02 STi owner was looking for a part that had fallen off!!!!!!. As I had heard some nightmare stories regarding Kershaws I was rather dubious about putting my WRX03PPP full decat on the rolling road, but I did, I can only bear out the findings of others only the opposite way 238BHP at 7000RPM?. As Martin had pointed out he was flattered but probably not deceived by his figures of 337BHP. Martin was running the quarter mile at Elvington last week 0.4 second quicker than my supposed 236BHP I feel a little confused with the reported figures, baffled of York!!!!!!!!
