Ok so the boss is a very wealthy man... this must just be a hobby to him. But Will he continue to import cars when sales are down and dealers are closing all over the shop....??

Dealers are closing through not wanting to spend the money to keep the franchise if I understand correctly... But with block exemption coming to an end sometime then I guess everyone's wondering what will happen

I think sales will continue to fall until Subaru come up with something interesting. They're still great cars but so are the competition nowadays. Scoobs have lost their niche market and it's being filled with more exotic and unusual cars like RX8s, 147GTAs, 350zs etc. Their unique selling points no longer make up for their faults. Or their image which is probably amongst the weakest in their sector nowadays.

LOL - IM were selling Subaru's waaay before the Impreza came out - they started selling Subaru's in 1977 - when no-one had even heard of them....
They also sell Isuzu and Daihatsu... so I guess they'll struggle on.....
Some people on here forget that there are more Subaru's than just the Impreza Turbo.

"International Motors" will no doubts simply keep going, there has been rumors abut someone else taking the Subaru franchise over, but not to anything other than a rumor. Being as they deal with the factory direct and hold such a grip on the reigns, it does not leave many gaps for others to even compete against them. Plus with their restrictions on Imports being serviced at dealers, leaves the dealers with a market they cant touch without having their hands slapped and the franchise taken away within minutes of them finding out.
Sounds more like Russia to me......

There aren't many 4WD saloons or hatches out there, that can hit 60 in 5.5 secs, pull 30-70 in under 6, top out at 140mph+, have excellent handling and grip, offer good reliability, and cost less than £20K.
As for the poor image some keep talking about. The only evidence I see of that, is actually in Scoobynet. I don't see or hear it from friends, neighbours, work colleagues, the Police or the general public at large. All our cars receive, are admiring glances and enthusiastic comments.

The only comments I get from people when I mention what I drive are:
A suba-what?
Oh, your a boy racer then.
My mate had one one them, it was stolen!

it was stolen
HPI have just released this year's UK stolen car figures:
1 Escort
2 Fiesta
3 Astra
4 Cavalier
5 Metro
6 Golf
7 BMW 3 Series
8 Nova
9 Sierra
10 Mondeo
Not a Subaru in sight...
Cheers
PS I've had 5 Impreza Turbos/WRXs since April 1994 - never had a scratch on any of them, let alone had one stolen.
