Intercooler covers.......
#1
I was thinking about getting one of these mesh covers to protect the fins on my intercooler ( Sti 8 ) but Power Engineering do not make one yet for this model, anybody know were I might get one somewhere else ?

I've seen them for sale for the classic for about £50 !!!! I'm thinking of making my own from steel mesh, shouldn't be too hard even for a numpty like me. Even with a nice logo painted on, I can't see it costing more than a tenner.
The only question I have is, underneath the bonnet there is a rubber lip that mates with the intercooler aperture - I need to find out whether the rubber lip fits around the whole intercooler assembly, or fits into the aperture where the fins are ? Any one know ?
Cheers,
Tony

Not that I am expecting snow, but surely a bit of snow would make the intercooler really efficient and make the car go like stink...
maybe instead of an IC spray bottle we need it to chuck out snow...
