My dealer report!
#1
Picked up my 02WRX a few weeks ago and have been loving it but noticed a few probs so I booked her in for a check up, here's how my dealer (SGT) rated....
Probs
1 - Heater fan noise - although they could not cure they tell me its common and even some brand spankers make the same noise. They took it apart and checked and told me they would replace if I'm unhappy in the future. Any of you guys get the sound of rubbing when fan on high?
2 - Stereo cuts out - could not replicate so they ordered a new one and will fit.
3 - Washer spray did not work - fixed.
4 - Slight squeak from backbox - lubed up the rubbers and its all good
5 - Asked them about swapping wheels as my front tires have some wear, just wanted to check if they would need balancing or anything really - swapped em over for me, sorted!
All done no charge and they even valeted the car for me!!
Had VW's for last 4 years and those a**holes would not do a thing for me!!
10 out of 10 for this Scoob dealer!!!!!

I'm with you re: VW's - they once charged me 1/2 an hour to change a battery FFS!!! A long, boring battle ensued which was enough to convince me to change makes. Would never have a VW again.

... the sensible VAG group money is with Skoda now.
Eg: - Same town, similar (my) cars and similar 30k service.
Audi £185. Skoda £60 anf friendly with it.
Same Audi build - unlike some ( I repeat, some) Seats.
Same mechanicals, same 4x4 system

Used to have a Bora, one of the 1.9 tdi pd things. The dealer totally ****ed it up every time it went in. Over filled the oil TWICE. (and not just a drop or two over) Oily handprint on the inside trim on the B-post, charged for new discs but none fitted (spotted before I paid) came back filthy each time,
Nice shiny cover on top of the engine, it goes in for it's first service and when I went to pick it up some gimp had spilled oil all over it and tried to wipe it off with a rag that must have been soaked in iron filings. " Sorry sir, we will give it a full valet for free" no I want a new cover yer slag jawed ******. (Got a new cover). ****’s absolute *****.
At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask

tmo Audi no better - broke the silver engine cowl on my A6 Quattro Sport, tried to change rear disks at 20k miles. Another Audi garage locally sold me another A6 Quattro Sport as one previous owner no accidents or hidden history - got log book back from DVLA - I was the 4th owner (admitedly only the second user) but the car had been in a crash. In the end got my money back but they treated me like I was the twot asking for the refund. bought a brand new scooby instead. **** to VAG if they can't sort their dealers out better than that! (mind you the Audi's are a really good car)

Nice to hear of a GOOD service for a change, all you seem to hear these days is people moaning about garages ripping them off and giving them **** service..
