Knowing less about what goes on under the bonnet of my Scoob than I do about the social life on Mars, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the dip-stick at the back of the engine was for, it is dry and I havent got a clue what it is measuring or how to top it up ...

I think it's the transmission oil. Manual says check monthly and top up if necessary, but appears to be a bugger to get to

If the transmission oil dipstick is dry make sure you top up the transmission oil... or your gearbox wont last long..

Gracias Kend ...

I have been getting some odd noises and vibrations in the lower gears, not sure if this could be contributing ...

If you have no transmission oil then this will definetly be contributing... I'd suggest you get some transmission oil in ASAP..
