I remember my mate gettin hold of one of these for bonfire night when we were kids. You had to smack the bottom of it but i was expecting it to shoot up in the air. Imagine my surprise when the f*cka just stayed in my hand glowing all bright and hot
Good fun though, stayed on for ages

Pull the Flair out of the case, The smaller flares will sit upside down in the case for a handle and the big Flairs dont(so that means your hands are closer to the SparksThey get Very Very HOT, Dont give them to young kids. and dont leave put it down in dry grass or anything

What a top idea!!
Might put some sparklers in me glove box just in case.
Mind you, by the time I'd got the buggers to light I could probably have walked home

Well I'll be buggered......
My wife has an FTO with 2 hoops under the Glove Box on the passenger side.....
We've been puzzling over them since she got it. Was it for a torch a manual a fire extinguisher.....
But now we know... most Excellent... Mind you saying that I'll avoid getting her one... I feer the Son may not be able to resist temptation....

Years ago my dad bought an old boat with flares that were about fifteen years out of date. One day me and my mates nicked one thinking it would be like a firework. Wrong, bright orange smoke everywhere and we got cought by the police.

Back home we often buy a small package containing about 5 of these - burn a bright red in colour. These you put down on the road a hundred odd meters from your car in a line - people REALLY see this and slow down - as opposed to a stupid small triangle! but in germany here everything related to safety like this is forbidden.
But in case of emergencies they are great and burn for a fair while.
