I’m after some advice from the ICE Gurus on here.

I want to replace my original SH*T head unit on my 03 WRX.

1. £200 ish budget
2. I’m after a CD/MP3 Player
3. It must be silver and match the dash as much as possible
4. Preferably with a green display

I’m looking to fill the other gap with the Forrester dash pocket.

Any advice is greatly appreciated also any good online stores please.

Thanks in advance

Tony

TBH

You need to change your speakers as well and therefore your budget is looking very tight

I just asked my local company to quote for my Sti8

JVC single play CD Headunit
JVC DAB Tuner[Special offer £50 when purchased with a JVC head Unit]
New Speakers both front and Back doors[Quality speakers]
4 Channel Eclispe Amp
Glass mounted DAB aerial

£1200

Same Here

I have asked him to scale down but he still feels that I must be prepared to spend at least £800

To get a decent sound

If you are on a limited budget, you'd be better off changing the speakers first, and leaving the head unit until you can afford it. The head unit isn't very good, but the standard speakers are a lot, lot worse. Changing the speakers makes a massive difference.
