Whats the servicing intervals on an MY00 Turbo. Sticker inside says change oil every 7500 or six months which evers soonest.

Does this mean service the car every 7500 miles but change the oil if you dont cover that mileage in 6 months as I dont.

The reason I ask is I imported the car from Holland and the service books in Dutch!!! It is in 12000 miles intervals but I ignored this and serviced the car at 7500, 15000 and due one now at 22500. Is this correct?

Also if this correct which service is the cam belt done at, I saw a post saying they had had there cambelt done at the third service on 34,000 miles? If I am on my third service at 22,500 I assume I dont have to have the cam belt changed until my fourth service.

Im confused, can anyone advise please,

Chris

Nope.

Easy to mess up. The service is due AT 7500 or six months - whichever comes first.

So if you dont do 7500 miles in 6 months - the car needs a service at six months from last one.

If you do 7500 b4 the 6 months - you do it at 7500.

You carry that on from the service.

So either count 6 months from date of last service - or 7500 miles from the mileage at last service.

So if you last had a service at 12000 miles on 1st Jul 2003, you either have a service at 19500 miles or 1/1/04 whichever is first

Thanks for the info. Its a bit of a con really isnt it? In the first year I used the car all the time, did 15000 miles and had the two services done in this period. Then in the second year I didnt use it other than about five hundred miles so theoretically should have had it serviced at 15000 miles again and then again at 15500 6 months later? Other than an oil change what else is really done other than checks pads, tyres, brake fluid etc... for £160 odd quid which would be a problem after 6 months having only covered very limited mileage.

What about the Cambelt change, is it third service at 22500 or over 30,000 miles as this gentleman had had. Whats the official figure.

Dont forget, the import service books are measured in "Kilometers" [KM's] and not Miles, so it might be this that is confusing you.

Cambelt on an MY00 car is 60,000 miles. Seems of late that quite a few MY99 UK cars have also had their belt change deferred to 60K.
