I've been checking out a few of the enthusiast's forums and found the 22B forum.

I appreciate that the 22B owners will probably want their own forum, and to be honest, I don't hear many 22B owners on ScoobyNet, bar one or two that I could mention.

My question is, when there are only 400 cars worldwide, making it one of the most limited runs of Subaru ever, assuming that even 25% (optimistic) of owners used the forum, how much fun could it be?

I appreciate that there are over 3000 registered users, but they aren't 22B owners....

At least the vast majority of the ScoobyNey community are Scooby owners....

I know that if I bought a 22B, I'd continue to use ScoobyNet and not 22B.bbs cos I've seen more action in a mortuary than on that board!

Food for thought.

Thumbs up

22.com isn't solely for 22b owners

There are some very talented and knowledgeable people on there..

A wealth of info without the noise

Technically, not true. Some of the STI models were limited to 100, or 200.

I knew someone would come out with that!

May I refer you to my original quote....

one of the most limited runs
Paying particular attention to the phrase "ONE OF"

I am extremely familiar with all limited edition runs, STI1, STI2, McRae, Cat, Terzo, P1, 22B, not to mention the Type C etc etc.

;-)

Just tweaking your nose, mate : the point of the 22B club isn't solely about 22B's, there's alot of engineering experience in the senior (in some cases v. senior) posters on there, and quite often the discussions are broader in scope than just about 22B's.

Richard,

I'm aware that it isn't exclusively for 22B owners, after all, what forumn is exclusively kept for those who can provide a chassis number!

I also appreciate that there are knowledgeable people on there...
All I was saying that such small numbers of owners/non-owners who want a piece of the action, makes for quite a boring bbs for general chit-chat.

I'd imagine its quite useful if you require tech info however.

Personally, it's the general chit-chat here that for me at least, makes it boring sometimes.

Different strokes for different folks...

Peeps generally don't **** around as much on 22b (see here for example), which is nice.

What?!.... What is your real user name...

Makes a change for people to start something that isnt Scoob Vs... i suppose.

Maybe you are too stupid to take in the Info??

Maybe you have too much time on your hands??

Maybe you start your thread with it is as dead as a mortuary... When you really mean what is closer to your heart, a Classroom??

Nice to see the abuse starts before long.

Pity a simple question has to turn into this..........

No wonder we get slagged off on SIDC for this type of behaviour...

I just wondered why the 22B has an entirely seperate forum, since the other special editions don't have their own???? (P1 aside)

Oh Tweenierob, or is it 'Teenie'rob,

Speaking of classrooms, perhaps you should have spent more time in one because your English is atrocious.

I have no idea what this means.....

Maybe you start your thread with it is as dead as a mortuary

Hey don't drag us into this

There are many forums that run which are Subaru related

Some are busier than others

Why knock them?

What does it serve?

lol! Scoobynet is 90% good but that 10% is due to ***** on the board. Obviously you are going to have ***** on most boards but its still annoying!

I find 22b a good forum. They are all willing help and the technical conversations in there are far superior than ones on here. Its like all the top scoobs in the country post on there and you can pick up some very interesting info

It's called 22B.COM because Anders, the owner and enthusiast who setup the forum owns a 22B. Simple as that.

If you want to have a discusion with some of the more knowledgeable subaru people on the net from around the world, come and join the forum. We dont have the general noise you can get on here, there is no muppet forum etc so you dont have to fight your way through thousands of posts to find what you are looking for if you have a technical problem.

I moderate some of the forums on 22B.COM, i used to moderate the technical forums here. I find 22B.COM more manageable in terms of keeping up with technical discusions.

OK, it was a simple enough question, its also a simple enough answer and if you look closely the answer is in the question.

when there are only 400 cars worldwide
Thats it, with so few cars produced, the internet is an ideal place for owners to get together and chat about their cars, technical issues or not. And the fact that there are so few cars about means that its not going to be the busiest BBS in the world.

I hope this answers the question.

This means that the P1 does have its own forum.

There were actualy 425 22B's made, the original 400 were for the JDM market then they built another 25 cars of which 16 came to the UK.

Do you ever ask a question and wish you hadn't bothered your ****?

All the muppets crawl out of their cracks and start being smart-***** and abusive.

My question was simple....

I had a look at the 22B board and saw that forum traffic was minimal which gave it a very 'vacant' feel about after being used to ScoobyNet.

Several people have given sensible replies like johnfelstead, for which I am grateful, however too many people open their mouths and let their tummies rumble before engaging their brains.

These are the type of people who make this site worthy of having a Muppets section. You know who you are.

Several answers given have made me appreciate that 22B may have better quality content as opposed to the quantity of ScoobyNet.

As for the SIDC comment, Phil, you are a moderator yes? Then you will read the number of posts of SIDC members who slag ScoobyNet and don't seem to rate it much. (which may be justified, due to the nature of some of the replies my genuine question prompted.)

Since I started the thread, may I have the pleasure of closing it?

Thanks for your input people.

Nope, yuo don't get that pleasure/luxury. You asked a troll-ish, muppet-esque, question and it was treated as such. Quite simply why ask the question here in the first place? If you were truely concerned, or puzzled, then you would/should have asked on 22b.com. You only wanted to generate attention for yourself by posting here.
Why does 22b.com exist? Because it can.

Oh, same reason as to why my dog licks his... erm, let's not go there

"Vacant" ? Not really though, it's quite active recently, with some very good threads and probably lots of lurking.

There was some animosity between 22B.com and Scoobynet (and vice versa) but that has completely dissapeared, which is great. Quite a few people post on both BBS's anyway, so I don't see the point in starting this " x vs y " all over again ?

FFS! I am not trying to start a bloody Impreza Vs Impreza war like some of the muppets on here seem to think.

I simply wondered how a forum could exist with such a small target "audience"!!!!!!

My question has been answered now take your smart arsed comments and shut up!

No wonder 22B doesn't have a Muppets section or else you'd be on there with your drivel!

Everyone else was happy to leave the subject as THE QUESTION HAS BEEN ANSWERED but not some people, who have to add their tuppenceworth!

Pathetic.
