Does anyone know if the WRX 03 have a steering lock? Ive turned the steering wheel after pulling my key out and it just seems to turn.
Can anyone owning a wrx 03 confirm same condition?
Not that it bothers me as i fit a disklock each time i lock the car but just curious as i have never come across this condition before. First scoob though. Car goes in for 1k service on thursday can't wait...temptation to floor it has been killing me. Look out this weekend.

Yes, definitely has a steering lock......

 

Hi welshwolf ... Have WRX03 ,Found steering lock position on mine is approx 150 degrees clockwise.. ie almost full half lock with badge almost upside down ..
Just had 1000 miler done ... Have fun !

( Although thinking of going for PPP ! mmmmmm! )

1/4 turn to the left when airbag is pointing down to gearstick !

It's not just me then - ten weeks on and I haven't found the steering lock yet !
With the engine off, I haven't tried turning the wheel round too far, because of the force needed.
I'll try tonight.

 

Tried today and can confirm it does exist.
