You need an alarm for insurance not the SVA, you will probably need a Catagory 1 thatcham approved one to even have a hope of getting the car insured though. I recommend the Clifford Concept 600 as you can add all sort of bits to it such as remote engine start (for cold mornings and warm up times !) window closing when you set the alarm, anti hijack and other bits and pieces. Also RAC trackstar is a good tracker to have I believe.

Or you used to be able to put the car through as a disabled persons vehicle, you didn't need an immobiliser for that. You do now as the regs changed on 1st October.

insurance is no problem 4 me as ive got trade insurance...hhehe.but iheard u needed an alarm 4 the sva...it now seems i do if u guys are correct......more expense i didnt plan 4 on top of the new clutch i discovred on picking it up from the docks...and flywheel...lol..and also some1 stole the sterio as well.
