Ok thanks Simon. I am rather concerned that money was taken from my card without good being supplied which as far as I am aware is rather naughty.
Maybe you could ensure we get a monthly update so we feel confident something will eventually appear.

Hi,
I've kicked this off, and will be looking for a lot of help and support from the Scoobynet community at large soon.
Just so you know, we're pushing for an ambitious timescale in order to get this out ASAP.
Roughly, it breaks down as:
- agree table of contents of CD by October 2003
- Finalise content/final edit content November 2003
- Publish by end 2003
You're probably thinking "that sounds simple", but just so you know what we're up against, the simple project plan has 40 points that each should be decomposed into a finer granularity... Whilst all that is going on, there's selection of a multimedia publishing system to be getting on with, plus finding the necessary people who have the necessary skills that can commit to delivering on a deadline, artwork, logistics, ... You name it, we'll need help with it
There are already some interesting challenges, such as copyright issues with publishing an archive, and also what about linked images? Can we include them? That's just one area...
We will be asking for help, as the money paid will cover the physical cost of manufacturing a CD and distributing it through the post, but would not cover the necessary professionals' time so it's going to be a "roll sleeves up and get involved" to get this out.
I will do my best to get this out, but I do have a day job that pays me to do other things . I will keep you all updated.
