You can now openly buy a set of sockets that remove 90% of locking wheel nuts
We have a set in the garage for use on customers cars when they have lost the key and can't get there wheels off!!(we also have a lock out kit for the purpose of locked in keys)

Agree with the above....most scumbag t-leafs know how to break into cars.Advice on how to gain entry is a bit silly on an open forum....the use of a private message would be better.

AA / RAC - they're supposed to be experts at not breaking and entering

then turn off auto-locking when you get back in... (but leave on auto-alarm)

or buy another key...

get an old coat hanger (the wire type) straighten, thread through gap between rubber and glass and press your remote button (if you've got one on your key that is).

if no remote try to hook the wire around the door handle.

I'll unlock it for £50 provided you supply the hammer.

If its deadlocks then your only option is to smash the window... its hapened to me a couple of times.. 1st time had to smash window and second time boot was open so managed to squeeze my arm pushing at the rear seat and opened the rear door lock... but this wasn't in a scooby...

Hmmm - How can you get to the battery if the car is locked ?

I just picked my scoob up from a service and the dealer was very clear about this. "Have you got a 2nd key" ? "Cos if I lock your 1st key in the car - there is no way to get it out"
Other than, i assume doing a window

Let us know how you get on. Look on the bright side of this though. At least you'll see how secure it is from toerags taking a chance on nicking it.

One thought, I remember being told that hitting the front of a tyre with a sledgehammer simulates a 16 mph impact which will cause doors to automatically open.

Trouble is it will also deploy airbags

Just being sarcastic, but...

I love the way people are quite happy to tell you how to break into a car on an open forum. I know that every car thief already knows but still...

What's next, how to hot wire a Scooby (I've lost my keys, honest), how to take off locking wheel nuts (I've lost the locking nut, honest).

Phone your local locksmiths, stand back and be amazed.

Ive used them twice, once on an is200, and once on a 306, couldnt believe his tool kit. And he guaranteed no damage or you dont pay, £25 well spent.

No sarky comments on a scouser not being able to break into a car, thankyou.

2 things

1) I'd always advise caution on what you say/advise on an open public bbs

2) I'd get the job done today 'cos you never know if some ****** might see the key and be less worried about smashing the glass...

how to take off locking wheel nuts
I had some stuck on, went to a tool supplier to buy something to remove them with, got talking to the guy about what I wanted. Basically told him I needed something to remove some locking wheel nuts (which should have seemed well dodgy). He then pointed me in the direction of a tool specifically labeled as a 'locking wheel nut remover' Crazy really

locking wheel nuts its easy - just hammer a normal nut over the locking wheel nut key

We are hardly talking about how to break into cars here - nothing discussing is so far further than 'common sense'

Glad you got it sorted without having to smash the window mate

So advice to thieves would be.. call the AA they'l open it for you lol

Its different when you got to get into the car without the key you dont want to damage it but thieves don't give a monkey's and smash whatever they need to, to get their hands on what they want to.
