just wired in my knocklink 2 my oem knock sensor getting weird results.it lightes up 2 show theres power going 2 it[1 led]but with sensativity at max dosent register anything[even tapping next 2 the knocklink]i drashed it up the road and at near red line 1 led lights up????disturbing that tapping next 2 knocksensor dosent produse a signal but it does at high rpm that must be some knocking its detecting[car is standard apart from panel filter].ive read some threads and see some1 else had this problem im wondering if more have .....it is either a dodgy knock sensor or a knacked knocklink.im going 2 get another knocksensor from jap inovations and mount it somwhere else.can any1 help me with this its done my head in abit.

You should use a seperate sensor for the knocklink.

disconect that now. Using the OEM sensor screws up the signal to the ECU, which could cause MORE det.

Always use a seperate knock sensor.

ill do it right away but ud think the link instructions would tell u 2 fit a seperate 1[or is this a quirk of the scooby layout?also can u recomend a website that will mailorder a decent knocksensor [whered u peeps get yours?].

Read this, it helped me loads. You need to bosch sensor and wiring kit from your local boschauto dealer.
