Unhappy

Finally had to accept that the front driver-side alloy needed repair (tyre deflated 3 times in less than a month), so it was off the wheel repair shop for me.

The guy said he could do it for tomorrow (today), which is fair play, but since then, I've been pottering round in the Scooby, with the yellow biscuit wheel on, with a max speed limit of 50mph. ARGH! The world seems sooooo slow! Even lorries overtake me now.

Going to visit the pyschiatrist later, for councilling, after a J reg Fiesta 1.1 overtook me.

And to make matters worse, I work over 20 miles from my house, which normally takes about 35 mins on the motorway, but with the limit of 50, I daren't use them... so it's the old roads, and a 65 min drag to work.

Thumb screws and comfy cushions please!!! Anything is better than this!

Your lucky you getting it sorted in a day... I was stuck with the biscuit wheel for 2MONTHS! I'd curbed the front passenger side wheel n had to get a new one but the company i ordered from took 2 months to get it to me...

I parked my car up for most of the two months and used my bros astra deisel

2 months!!!! I'd have gone insane.

I had a dent in the alloy on the other side, which gave a slow puncture. Went to a number of tyre & wheel specialists in the Midlands, who all said "Need a new wheel, mate". Which is an ar$e when you have Speedlines, which are discontinued.

So... was advised to visit a place near York, an engineers company, who somehow managed to repair the alloy. He was recommended by a mate who'd had his Dino alloys refurbished there.

Top job - was sorted the same day, for about £60. Nice place to wander round too, York.

Question

What on earth possesed Subaru to paint the spare wheel that colour??

It's positively the worst colour ever

Perhaps Rover sold them some old paint left over from manufacturing Maxi's and Allegros

I did go insane... everymorning walked passed my car in the drive looked at it walking to my astra deisel and drove off still staring at it lol

I couldn't get mine fixed cos it was bent and couldn't get anyone to straighten it... if you know of anyone who could straighten a StillAuto Wheel i'd be most greatfull.. it'll be great having it as a spare

All the best
